Boys Over Flowers

-->
This is a complete Asian review now, so, bring on the Korean Drama!
My friend recommended me this one for the fact that it has hot guys. Well, it does have hot guys but it has a lot of other great factors to! It's set around Shinhwa high school, a school for the rich and famous. There Gu Jun Pyo [Lee Minho], heir to the world renowned Shinhwa group, is a senior. With his friends Yun Ji Hoo [Kim Hyun Joong], So Yi Joong [Kim Bum] and Song Woo Bin [Kim Joon] they form an unstoppable group of Korea's rich and handsome: F4.
-->
Geum Jan Di [Ku Hye Sun] is the daughter of a dry cleaners who only just earns enough money to feed the family. When Jan Di goes to Shinhwa to deliver some laundry, she ends up rescuing her customer from suicide. Thus, Jan Di, the poor nobody, gets a scholarship to Shinhwa, the most elite school in all of Korea. Unlike everyone else who admires F4 and ignore the horrible things they do, Jan Di stands up to them. And so, the drama starts. Pushing and pulling. Mistakes and Misunderstandings. Bad timing and soppy romances. All the things needed in a drama.
This is my first Korean drama and if the others meet up to the same standards it certainly won't be my last. It's completely cheesy, and mostly predictable.... But it was still so captivating!! When sad things happened, I almost cried; when happy things happened I laughed.
-->
The plot was flawless. It had all the predictable points which are needed to progress the story and yet it still threw shocking moments at you. The characters were all so loveable: each growing on you in their own way. You could only spend the whole 25 episodes wishing for their happiness.
As Geum Jan Di's the only leading female, you would expect her to be a 'damsel-in-distress' character, 'a rose among the thorns'. But no. She's a fighter, and a strong one at that. Always putting her friends first, even above her own happiness, she makes a great role model.  And she's so funny - it's refreshing really.
-->
Gu Jun Pyo, our leading male, is such a jerk. But as I said, ALL the characters are loveable. Gu Jun Pyo is the character that develops the most; since he keeps his jerk-ish ways, he makes the most adorable tsundere.

Yun Ji Hoo, is definitely the best looking. The most charming. The kindest. He's just perfection. The fact that they make such an amazing character cry is horrendous! And, of course, everyone has a sob story, just to make their happiness that more important to you.
The actors were amazing. Lee Minho has some pretty amazing faces and I doubt looking angry and kind simultaneously is easy! And Kim Hyun Joong, well, how could you not love him? He smiled wholeheartedly and you could still see his characters heartbreak! And with a face like his, seeing him cry would break any girl's heart. And obviously, Guem Jan Di's fiery personality needs a pretty fiery actress: Ku Hye Sun fits the role. All her pouts and smiles; yells and murmurs; they all fit Guem Jan Di perfectly.
-->
In the end, it's just a lovely drama. It has a few ridiculous moments, but I'll let them slide because it's a drama! So, in conclusion to what I think is my longest review to date, it's amazing! I command you to watch it. NOW!
